Georgia Tennis Better Than Ever?

Dean Legge of DawgPost.com has put together a very good article on the Men's Tennis Program. In it he belittles the Gator program's lack of class, and he talks about the possibility that this is the greatest UGA Men's Tennis Team ever. It's a solid read.

Today, the Dawgs take on the Yellow Jackets in the second round of the NCAA tourney. Action starts at 2:00. Winner advances to the National Championships.

As a former collegiate tennis player (D2-West Georgia), I appreciate the coverage the UGA tennis team. I have followed UGA tennis since the early 80's and this team is the best I've seen. Too bad that they aren't playing the NCAA championships at Henry Field Stadium.

Agreed, I played tennis in the NAIA powerhouse conference, the SSAC (Shorter, Georgia Southwestern, Auburn @Montgomery, Berry, etc...) and was hooked on UGA tennis ever since Mikael Pernfors played there and went on to make McEnroe disqualify himself in a match(priceless).
Also, tennis is the only UGA sport that I can count on year in and year out to dominate (besides gymnastics).
