Jake Scott to Serve as Honorary Captain on Saturday

The incredibly reclusive Jake Scott will be the guest captain of the 2006 UGA vs. GT game. Jake is one of our greatest players along side Herschel, Trippi and Flat Foot Franky. He was a Super Bowl MVP, and the team MVP of the undefeated 1972 Dolphins team.

David Hyde of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel has an incredible exclusive interview with Scott. It's a must read.

That was a fantastic read. Hope our crowd gives him the respect he deserves on Saturday.

Let's just hope he doesn't end up in an elevator with Dooley before the game.

And if we want some more crazy in our defense, this is just the man to have talk to the team. If he can't light a fire under 'em, then it can't be done.

Ben- when I read that he would be speaking to the team, I thought the betting line should've moved two points.

What we really need is Jake talking to the team about how to get your money's worth from off the field antics.

This mickey mouse driving without a license stuff is nothing. ;-)

I was at UGA with Jake and everything ever said about his off the field antics is true. He once drove his car through the fence at the tennis courts cause he couldn't find a parking spot close to the dorm. Today's Athens PD would have shot him by now. My roomate dated one of his many girlfriend and lived to regret it (barely).

Can't wait to give him the ovation he truly deserves.

Jake Scott is one of those guys that was born 200 years too late.

Can I ask why the weird, yet cool puzzle-like Scott picture?

cause he's a puzzling guy I guess.

This is the thing about Jake Scott - Chuck Norris wishes he was as tough as Jake.

One of the greatest pure football players of all time plus legendary in his off the field antics. A real mans man! Thanks for the memories.
