Wear Red vs. LSU on Sunday -- Pregame Tribute to Brophy

On Sunday, the men's basketball team will have a special pregame ceremony to remember and pay tribute to Kevin Brophy. Brophy was killed in a car accident this offseason, and his parents and family are in town from Australia for the event.

The game starts at 3:00 pm on Sunday vs. #16 LSU. Also, fans are encouraged to wear for this game. Please remember to arrive early for the pre-game events. This is an extremely big deal, and it's a chance for our program to thank the family of one of fallen Dawgs. Please remind others to get there early and wear red.

Thanks.

Wednesday night's game was awesome from the student section and as a student it's really nice to see the coliseum's other seats filled out as well. I definitely encourage everyone to make the drive out to not only see the game but to pay tribute to kevin brophy who brought so much to this program as it was rebuilding

Asking UGA fans to wear red to a game is like asking people to wear black at a funeral. It's normal and everyone will probably do it anyway. Not a real change if you ask me. It's almost like the admin (or whoever decided to request this) figured no one would listen to them anyway so they asked fans to wear red so they'll look like geniuses.

I think there's another reason, but I don't want to spoil it. ;-)
