This Wedding Didn't Suck

I'm not really one for weddings. Ocassionally good Dawgs get married and it's a little more bearable than they might otherwise be. I've seen some Dawg Nation unions: I've seen Hairy Dawg show up at a reception; I've seen all shapes and sizes of Bulldog grooms' cakes; I've seen little bulldogs dressed as bride and groom on top of the wedding cake; I've heard Glory Glory Dixieland as the recessional.

But THIS tops anything I've ever seen or heard. If I had been invited to this wedding, I would have snuck in a flask of Maker's Mark just from force of habit. (audio only)

All rise for the Reverend Larry Munson.

Munson also did the introductions for the bridal party at the wedding of some friends of mine.

I think there was some pre-existing relationship, but apparently it was easier to arrange than we might think.

Boy that would drive my Tech fan groomsmen nuts...

That is the greatest thing I've ever heard! Awesome!

I bet that wedding didn't occur the day of the Tennessee game, or any other fall Saturday for that matter.

Gawd. Can you imagine Munson narrating their wedding night?

"Allright. Get the picture..."

"He's in the red top and the silver britches..."

"She's all in white tonight..."

"He's won the toss and she's about to receive..."

"He's knocking on the door..."

"She's trying to save herself, but she's got a man out there..."

"He jumps in the middle and gets about two feet."

"Now she's running and driving with those big thighs..."

"She's open in the corner..."

"Now everybody dives and I think the Dawg has jumped all over it."

"He's trying to stick a long one, A LONG ONE..."

"She's hunkering down ONE MORE TIME!"

"Suddenly..."

"My God. She broke a chair, a metal STEEL chair with about a five inch cushion..."

"Loran, whaddaya got?"

Rice is FALLING FROM THE SKY!

A guy I know married his BAMA girlfriend, the groom's cake was Bryant-Denny. The bridal party, sang rammer jammer to the bride.
"Greg just married the hell out of you."

And when they left they had the shakers and the Roll Tide as they ran to the car.

But Mr. Munson, of course owns all that, and actually comes out of the other side of this in a classy way, despite my fear of the impending hunkering down.

Larry Munson did something similar for my wedding three years ago. I would like to think I was first. I just wrote him a letter and it got done. We did our own mixing with Seven Notes and Glory.

"She came right through a chair?"

Munson could read the label off of a tube of Preparation H and I'd still get goosebumps listening to it.

JP - that's 2 things that make you feel better all at once.

So I'm getting married in less than 4 weeks and we've written Larry to do this for us...but we haven't gotten a response. Does anyone know if he's available to do this and if so how? Please email chase68@gmail.com - this would MAKE the day.
