SEC Power Poll Ballot

The more the season progresses, the less I seem to know. Other than LSU and Florida, no team seems to really want to step up and grab a lofty spot in the poll without letting it go.
  1. LSU - Prevailed in a magical night for Tiger fans. USC loses and the place erupts, spurring the Tigers to victory over the hated Gators. Plus, they got to hurl obscenities loudly at Tim Tebow which were then broadcast nationally. But rest lightly, Tiger fan, the way this season is going, anyone can be beaten by anyone else at any time.
  2. Florida - As much as I dislike the Gators, Urban Meyer may be the best coach in the country. The first half was brilliant and the Gators could have won that game had LSU not held the ball for what seemed like the entire fourth quarter. This team is going to be scary in two years.
  3. South Carolina - Turned Andre Woodson into a turnover machine in whipping Kentucky at home. Chris Smelley looks good throwing the ball to spots, which really makes Spurrier's system click. The offense should improve greatly before getting the Vols.
  4. Tennessee - Destroyed Georgia in a game that looked like Jamal Lewis and Cosey Coleman were playing for the Big Orange. Where has that team been?
  5. Auburn - Brandon Cox has now put together two consecutive good performances. They have a two game home stand that can vault them back to the SEC elite.
  6. Kentucky - Looked bad in Columbia. Woodson became a UK quarterback of old, bumbling through the game, giving the other team scores. Can they redeem themselves by catching LSU napping?
  7. Georgia - Looked awful in the worst performance of Mark Richt's tenure. The Dawgs are facing a must win game in Nashville.
  8. Alabama - Needed a last second pass break up to beat Houston? The Tide is getting worse as the season goes on. Watch out for Ole Miss.
  9. Arkansas - The Hawgs desperately need a decent win because they don't have one yet.
  10. Mississippi State - They're about to go on a losing streak, but State's losses don't look too bad right now.
  11. Vanderbilt - Earl, Earl, Earl. If you can cover him, where does the Vandy offense go?
  12. Ole Miss - The Oge is going to get a big win this year and it could come this weekend if they can pressure JPW.
