Money will be rocking your pants off and asking you to "take him home tonight" at the Sugar Bowl Fan Fest Sunday night at 5:00. The Fan Fest is an interactive "experience" at the Jax Brewery that will be open Sunday and Monday. It looks likes it will be full of kids on inflatable things, rusted jocks seeking to prove they can still throw a ball through a tire, and marketing professionals. The Redcoats, the Rainbow Warrior Marching Band, and both sets of cheerleaders will have pep rallies both days.
As always, wear your Georgia gear and go. Make sure the Sugar Bowl folks know we are in New Orleans and we are taking over, at least until the 2nd. When else are you going to get to see Eddie Money for free?

The better question might be when are you going to be somewhere where you might overhear Eddie Money live while doing something else interesting? According to his website, people do still pay money to see Money. I would not be one of those, but they do exist.
Sadly, a friend of mine got free tickets to see Eddie Money @ HiFi Buys amphitheater about 3 years ago. Survivor was also headlining. . . it was horrible. I'm ashamed to admit it, but at least we didn't pay for the tickets.
I think Eddie Money is the house band at Mulligan's in Gaffney, SC, and play every Friday night and the third Thursday of every month when High Life is $1 a bottle.

Eddie Money was pretty darn big in the 70's and early 80's - had some big hits but never emerged as a "big" star due to bad marketing, a terrible dress code, or cheesy moves. Either way, the New Jersey rocker laid the way for bands like Bon Jovi, et al.
"Two Tickets to Paradise" is a good tune but not one I'd pay $$ to see live.

I stood next to him on the sideline at an Indiana State football game once. Nice guy. Former cop, too.
2 years ago Eddie Money was playing at the Wobbly Barn in Killington, VT. He took a local bus up from what I'm told and rented his skiis from the Ski shop at the Mountain. Sad that Eddie doesn't even have his own skiis.....
