Chad Simmons has joined Scout.com

I don't do a lot of recruiting stuff here because I think most of you get that directly from Rivals, Scout or the AJC. That said, it's hard not to notice that Chad Simmons is one of the most prolific guys in the Southeast on the recruiting front. Today, he joined the Scout.com network.

That's a big catch for Scott Kennedy, Dean Legge and their crew.

That'd be like the Gwinnett Gladiators signing Matt Ryan.

I completely disagree.

Fantastic. Scout always had much better message board content, as most of the folks on Rivals are pompous blowhards who think they are all "in the know." I quit subscribing to Scout after Chad left the first time and ghost and his minions began taking over the boards. I quit Rivals a few months ago because most of the folks on the message boards are simply infantile. Hopefully this will reunite the best of both worlds.

Ghost is only on rivals now.

It'd be HUGE for dawgpost if he was stepping into the same exact role on their site, but apparently he's going to become even more of an entire Southeast Region kind of analyst so I don't know... I might consider switching if I knew he'd bring to Scout what he brought to The Vault, but why bother if he's going to be just as concentrated on Clemson or other Southern schools as Georgia.

Guys, chad's work has always benefited other sites such as clemson and auburn, because of his thoroughness in the state of georgia. Scout is merely recognizing how important chad is to the south in recruiting. As a georgia recruiting fan, I don't think chad is going to miss a beat for you at dawgpost. I also think you might be surprised in what else dawgpost has to offer..... Scott kennedy

I thought I was the only loser that noticed that Chad had made the switch to scout.com.... Now we take note of recruiting gurus moving around.... I see a future where "big boy" media is constantly scooped by blogs and message boards.

I love it. Good luck to Chad and scout.com.
