Six Flags Night at Georgia Tech

Georgia Tech Student Government Association and President Clough announced the return of Georgia Tech Night at Six Flags.

"When the idea of renting out Six Flags surfaced, the response was overwhelmingly positive," said Tech President and Highest Rated Gnome Wayne Clough.

"The central goal of the night is to bring together people from both aspects of the Georgia Tech community -- Trekies and Star Wars fans -- while introducing them to our football program in a fun and non-disappointing environment."

Tony Barnhardt of the Atlanta Journal was quoted on 790theZone radio as saying "It's very appropriate for Georgia Tech to have a Six Flags day just before the start of football season. Given that their program is in Free Fall."

Last year's event wasn't without complications. Georgia Tech quarterback Reggie Ball had to be given the Ring of Ultimate Courage to wear after initially refusing to ride the Scream Machine.

Calvin Johnson said at the time, "Reggie gave us 4 great reasons to come out last year. First, it's for the kids. Second, it's going to be free. Fourth, because Coach Gailey said so. Reggie is such a leader!"

Georgia Tech fans appreciate the opportunity spend the afternoon at Six Flags. "Combining amusement park rides, Star Wars and Star Trek is an unbeatable combination," said Sheldon Borwinkle, chairman of the Alumni League and Intergalatic Patrol.

"I also heard that we started a football program on campus, and some of the players might bee here."

"I haven't had this much fun since my parents let me move into the basement all by myself two years ago," said GT graduate and 40 year old virgin Andy Stitzer.
