I don't do politics normally on this board. But I will point out that Gov. Sonny Perdue just cancelled school for Monday and Tuesday in order to save 250,000 gallons of diesel fuel and help with possible gas shortages caused by Hurricane Rita.
250,000 gallons of diesel is a drop in the fuel bucket.
All this is going to do is cause another idiotic gas panic.
I can't wait to vote against him.
Sincerely,
Republican Who Voted for Perdue

Now, now. He did do it right two weeks ago by suspending the state taxes on gas. This new announcement will only cause panic among the ignorant Auburn, Tennessee and Florida grads living in Metro Atlanta. I'm waiting for the spineless Repulicans in Congress to suspend the $.43/gallon Federal gas tax. That'll cause a panic by the DawgNation trying to fill up on the cheap stuff. Keep Bloggin'. Go Dawgs. Hate Auburn, et al.

I agree it was stupid, but don't throw the sonny out with the bathwater. GWB may not be perfect - or even close - but he's light years better than JFK, (I live off dead men's fortunes) or AL, I invented the internet Gump, would have been.
I know, thank God Al Gore isn't president--seeing as how GWB sat in a classroom reading a book to 3rd graders while 3000 people died, then went to war with a country that had nothing to do with it, getting 2000 US Soldiers killed and destroying the myth of American Global Military superiority in the process, inherited a record surplus and turned it into a record deficit, and put complete buffoons in charge of government agencies, so when disasters hit hundreds of people died needlessly--I shudder to think how much worse it would have been if only Gore had been in office.
Well.....you got the ass part correct.
I honestly feel he followed the same path he used to beat Barnes, but from the loser's side. Barnes I felt had more people lining up just to vote AGAINST him than either to vote for Perdue, and especially for him.
Perdue appears to have done the same with the bounty of f*** ups he's made (and this may be the most moronic yet). Come the next election, I like Cathy Cox a lot, but no matter who it is, there will be a larger % of people looking to vote AGAINST Perdue than to vote FOR either candidate.
