The Sugar Bowl is coming to Atlanta.
Interestingly, Chuck Dowdle on WSB Channel 2 in Atlanta was rumored to say last night on TV that the Sugar and Orange are considering swapping bowl affiliations for this year so that the SEC Champion doesn't have to play consecutive games in the Georgia Dome. (Note: I didn't hear this part first hand. It's being repeated as a rumor. Although I'm a HUGE fan of the idea).

I heard Dowdle say it and have heard it from a few other sources in the "Bowl world" that it's definitely in the works.
I think it's a great idea (Especially if UGA makes it...I'm very ok with Miami for New Years).
Doesn't matter, 'cause the winner of the SEC Championship, which everyone knows is UGA, is going to the Rose Bowl!
Sounds like a good idea to me too. I know what Jeff would like to think but if Bama OR Georgia go undefeated along with EITHER/OR Texas and Va Tech, they'll get the Auburn treatment. If they're both undefeated (Bama and UGA) in the SECCG, and ranked like 4 and 5 (gonna be hard to leap frog Tx and VaTech) then maybe the winner will leap frog someone like Texas who'll be playing a 9-2 or 8-3 Big 12 north opponent. But Va Tech will probably be playing a 10-1 or 11-0 FSU (ranked top 5 or 6) so that'll be a hard one to leap.
