Mayor Kyle of DawgSports.com is continuing on his series of Best and Worst moments in Georgia History. I provided a quick link to the first 5 positive installments in the series last week.
Episode 6 and Episode 7 are now up on the good end of things.
The 4 OT game vs. AU in 1996 remains one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Uga V going after Baker was just a bonus.
He also has Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3 of the negative moments up.
My two top low moments as a UGA fan were seeing Ronny Daniels of Auburn catch 9 passes for 249 yards in 1999 as Auburn put up 31 points before half-time, and the infamous 5 INT performance by Quincy Carter vs. the Gamecocks in 2000.

Huh? I'm lost. My VCR shows that we beat ND for the Title.
Not much could be worse than the 5-int loss to South Carolina. We were sitting so high in the upper deck St. Peter showed us to our seats. It was hotter than seven hells. South Carolina was the worst team the conference had seen in a decade, and we shat the bed like it never been shat before.
Kyle, I probably wasn't the one holding up fingers for each interception because by the fifth interception I was detached from reality. But, before the game I was the guy holding up four fingers and shouting "WOOO!" because I thought Ric Flair was about to run on the field. Turns out South Carolina co-opted Elvis/Ric's entrance music.
South Carolina is the poor man's Carolina, the poor man's USC, and the poor man's Also Sprach Zarathustra entrant. Which makes losing to them even more of an indignity.
That photo never gets old.
