Hmmm. If Spurrier and Tuberville both turned it down, the mess there must be pretty big. I would have thought one of those egos would want the challenge. Could be worse than I thought.

I am soooo sick of Miami haters!
while Coker failed as a recruiter as time went on he ran a pretty clean program. the murder of Pata off the school property in an area he grew up in has nothing to do with the program, rather more of an issue for kids in the inner city. as for thr program they were in a fight they did not start and I if a group of players were pileing on a Notre Dame punter, yeah the punter! it would have turned into a mele as well. the University of Miami has not had any real criminal activities since the 80's so get over it. we can fined felanies on every team in the country. just look at the rapist at Nebraska theat was allowed to play in a national championship because he had not been found guilty yet.
on Spurrier, the job was never offered to him or tubby, Miami would never want an old coach with no fire who would rather play golf than recruit. does anyone remember what Zook took over at Florida?
Schiano is the top choice because he is doing it now not 12 years ago.

well guys...Miami is a tough job with all the high expectations and in a pro football crazy town.
I am not sure a lot of guys would want it.Butch Davis saw the handwriting of Coker's demise and went ahead to North Carolina.He could have waited around for the Miami job but removed himself by signing with NC.
