News on Callaway's New Gig at UAB

Congrats to Callaway. Image: georgiadogs.com

Articles on the hiring:Callaway will stay with Georgia through the bowl game, and he has talked with Richt about possible replacements for the OL position. Although, neither he nor Richt shed any light on that topic.

More importantly, the AJC says that all the offensive line recruits look like they're going to stick around with Georgia in spite of Callaway's departure. The only exception is Ben Harden. Harden is at Hargrave, and things aren't looking so good for him to qualify. It's also not looking like Georgia is still involved in Clifton Geather's recruitment. Both Geathers brothers had non-traditional recruitments. So it's not a shocker that Clifton isn't going to show in Athens.

Earlier this weekend, I put forth a list of candidates that might fit into the OL coach role. DawgSports.com's Kyle King agrees with most of my list except for one person. He's not big on Scelfo.

I think I've got to agree with T.Kyle on this one. And I really liked Scelfo - met him at the Roswell Bulldog Club meeting back in the summer of 1997, but he'd only be looking to parlay the OL job to a better one as soon as possible and that's not what CMR is looking for.

My question is this - if we take Kehoe from Ole Miss - will Coach Ed come after us Pulp Fiction style????

Jeff Bowden is not interviewing at UGA or anywhere else for an Offensive Line Coach Position.

He was a WR coach at FSU.

My top candidates for the position are either McWhorter or Kehoe. And yes, I'd fight The Orgeron for Kehoe.

Dear Doug, all dawgs appreciate your spirit, but with all due respect, The Orgeron would kill you. We would never understand a word he said in the process, but he'd kill you.

GOOD LORD! That'd be about as competitive a fight as Barney Fife and Earnest T. Bass. We're beggin' ya Doug - stick to the bloggin.
