What was so bad about the turnovers is that they were mainly unforced. UF didn't take it away; we gave it up. The shooting was bad, but that is the sort of thing that comes and goes on any team. The turnovers is what I think killed us and probably says more about us being mentally intimidated by playing the Gators than anything else. We need a jolt of confidence; if we can get that, we'll be a lot better.
yeah, seeing the turnovers just kills me.
But even with the turnovers, we still look remarkably better than last year.
I'm still hopeful & believe that in a few years we will be serious contenders.
Would love to have a great game against SCUm & get some confidence back. Go Dawgs!
RE: Recruiting.
I think it was '93 and we had a bunch of recruits in town and took them to the Kentucky game and UGA managed to pull off the upset. The atmosphere was great and it was good for the kids to see Georgia win big in hoops, too.
