Breaking Recruiting News

Attention on UGA message boards has already moved past 2007 signing day and into the 2008 class. Well, I have some breaking news on an even younger recruit. Mark Richt and the Bulldogs are rumored to be all over a hot prospect out of Jesup, Georgia tentatively named Elwood Johnson.

He is currently listed as an "athlete," because he hasn't played any positions or really a single down of football...or seen the world outside of his mother's womb. However, his measurables are off the charts. He's 6.02 inches and 8.47 ounces.



Technically, he's just a 19 week old fetus, but the recruiting services say that he's a can't miss prospect. Most of the hype is based on the fact that his body is now 10% bigger than his head, and he is growing skin at an incredible pace.

Jamie Newberg has been on the phone with the kid's parents twice this week. Newberg was just confirming that he's leaning towards the left rib cage the Dawgs. Currently, he's listed as a 4 star recruit, but if he switches to the Gators before signing day 2025, Newberg will likely upgrade him to 5 stars.

Hopefully, all the media attention won't stunt the child's normal healthy development.
