Saban stares into the face of Karma

There is nothing to see here. Please move along.

Remember a couple of months ago when Nick Saban took a shot at Mark Richt regarding player discipline? It looks like Richt is the one who should be chiding Saban now. Alabama star defensive back Simeon Castille was arrested Sunday morning for disorderly conduct outside a Tuscaloosa nightclub. This is just the most recent arrest for the Tide who also had three players involved in a street brawl on July 14.

It looks like even Saban can lose control of a couple of players who not only want to get drunk, but fightin' drunk. Remember that, Nick, next time you want to rib someone about players in a bar. In any case, I doubt Castille will miss significant playing time and I'd bet he's playing September 22nd.

(Story Update: He was arrested, and "there's nothing to see here.")

Tuscaloosa has nightclubs?

Fan-fu**in-tastic. As a Dawg that married into a crazed Bama family, I will enjoy forwarding this entry to all of them.

Hey Paul, maybe you should cite some message board rumor posts the next time you're blogging about arrests.

Seriously, that's about the dumbest thing I've ever seen on any 'legitimate' blog.

I never saw any charges involving public intoxication in that story.

Wow. What a complete and total non-story.

I've always had a ton of respect for this blog, but I've lost a great deal of it with this elementary school level entry.

Seriously, PWD, why didn't you just post "UGA's rubber, Bama's glue what you say bounces off us and sticks to you" or a photo of you sticking your toungue out or something equally as childish?

Would've made as much sense as this entry.

Funnier still is that the facts that have come out of the case point to this as nothing but a TPD cop being a dick because he could.

wow. fightin drunk? losing control of players?

c'mon Paul. read a little bit before you start posting slanderous crap online. there are actually stories behind all of this.

Simeon's arrest was nothing more than a kid acting goofy on his way home from the club and the police deciding to step in on it. no alcohol involved.

Dude - what the F do you think is happening in Athens?

Saban acted like an ass in front of the media by bringing up a petty situation regarding UGA players hanging out in Bars.

Now, he's getting his karma.

Who cares if there's nothing to it? You think there was anything to these dumb things happening in Athens?

Our story went with the Original Tuscaloosa News story.

The story has since been updated by the Mobile Register.

It's not our fault the kid got arrested. lol.

Just to be clear, the comment at 11:55 was a jab at the Bammer site in case anyone hasn't followed the link to that joke of a post.

If you want to make this point involving the first 3 arrests, that's fine since they did something I highly disapprove of. But, with multiple eye witnesses (even those on the fox 6 news in b'ham) commenting that this story is very overblown, I don't really see a need to make Castille the main example in your karma point.

Difference is, PWD, I didn't go on the intarweb and act like a whiny crybaby because Big Bad Saban said something about my coach.

I would expect the whiny crybaby BS from Auburn, but not from UGA, and certainly not from you.

I suspect Saban's going to piss off ALL of the SEC before he's done.

Y'all don't have to like it, you just have to live with it.

Time to change your diaper...

anon 4:50,
That's because Richt is too classy of a guy to pull some of that petty crap that Saban does.

Like PWD said, our players are getting busted for some stupid crap too. The shot was at Saban more than the players.

Pull your delusional heads out of Saban's butt.

Gosh, we have a lot of tough anonymous Alabama mens coming on the blog today.

So tough (talking about diapers, even), so manly, so anonymous.

Long Live the Anonymous Hero!!!

Seriously - if you're gonna post that drivel, take the extra 5 seconds and add a name. And - as our own AH stated at 5:31- it was a shot at Saban, not the kids. Funny is that you see the need to make a big deal on the post.

I'll admit that I'm too lazy to take the time to sign up for an account so I'll accept the (credibility) consequences. I just wanted to add my 2 cents to say that those Alabama fans out there that have sensitivity issues need to realize that they are going to be facing an enormous amount of scrutiny from all of the SEC for the (stupid) things that are going to come out of the mouth of Saban. Like it or not but when you hired him to be coach you also hired him to be the face of your program. Unfortunately your program now looks like an arrogant mercenary with the social savvy of a 2-year old and the integrity of a con artist. Fortunately for us, we don't have to "live with it," but y'all better get used to the criticism because this is just the beginning of the s#!t storm that Saban's bringing to Tuscaloosa.

bama has a scary fan base. delusional and militant... sounds a lot like Hamas.

I love the 'get used to it' quotes! lol! this coming from a team with 13coaches in 4 years.

honestly, does anyone outside of bama really worry about Saban? Hell, we were beating them when he had a much better recruiting base.
