I know it's part of my birthright as a Dawg to hate all things Tech (and generally, I do) but I can't help but appreciate and respect Durham. He calls a great game, infused with equal parts professional competence and good old southern homerism. He always comes across respectful of UGA in the interviews I've read, and certainly anyone suffering through the Reggie Ball era deserves some kind of medal.

Damn straight Wes. The only Techie I know with a little class.

F Wes Durham.

On 790 The Zone last year during Tech week he was yucking it up with the DJs about Matt Stafford having to face Jon Tenuda.

All Techies can go straight to hell.

Gotta disagree with the last anon. I watched the roast of Larry Munson and I promise you that anyone excluding Wes Durham would've been booed out of the Cobb Galleria.

Everything I've ever heard or read from Durham (Bugs and Falcons) has always had that equal part professional and homer that Shan was referring to. He calls a great game and if he didn't call for Tech, I'd love to have him replace Munson in the booth when Larry's time is done.

And as far as him talking about Matt Stafford vs. Jon Tenuda, he was most likely firing up his Tech crowd. Can't blame a guy for that.

Wes Durham > Scott Howard. Wes has the same style as Munson, understated but obvious, something the blowhard Scott BLOWhard will never have. Must suck to be the guy after Munson.

I would rather listen to 100 hours of Wes Durham than 1 minute of Scott Howard.
