Prepare for the Cowboy Invasion

I post quite a bit of clips from "Your Tubes" (as my dad now calls it). Some of it sports related. Some smack. Every so often a video transcends sport and gives you a glimpse into another culture. This is what's heading towards Athens on Sept. 1st.

Brace yourself. Video by Sandstorm88. (Ht- Quinton McDawg)

Holy Crap! Was he talking about being a cowboy, boy, or was it an OK State cowboy, boy? I used to think that rednecks and cowboys were pretty similar but I was completely wrong.
I do believe that when the alcohol is consummed there maybe some brawls on Sept 1. I certainly am not wanting it to happen. However, I don't want someone going around wanting to make sure I know he/she is a cowboy, boy. And I am sure that drunken rednecks and drunken cowboys don't get along.
Despite what has been said about southern hospitality over the past few weeks, that kind of flamboyant cowboy, boy, crap just does not seem to be something southerners want to see or hear.
God help us.

You sure got a pretty mouth cowboy, boy.

That's way too much orange for any self-respecting Georgia fan to stomach.

Yep, lump them in with the rest of the orange clad losers around here.

I heard OSU's actually going to be bringing him on the trip and they're going to run him around the field before kickoff. Watch out!

That's the kind of stuff they need to be playing on the matrix board rather than stupid racing Ugas and other crap. I'd play it right after OSU's band performs at halftime.

Perhaps we can get Sky to do Glory, Glory and put it on You Tubes....

I asked him. He's not coming.

Oh..and +1 to the guy who dropped the Sky reference.

Between this guy and the two drunk hobo's singing the Oklahoma State fight song on the other youtube clip, I must say that they Okie State is challenging Auburn fans for the fat dumb and orange championship of the world.

Hold that up next to the Cory Smith song and video to see just how different of a culture we truly have from the giant orange people of the world...

Don Vito is an OSU fan?

I am blocked from YouTube at work, so I was truly afraid to watch this once I got home. Now, I see you're all being sarcastic. My God, I was worried. Good one.

I could only watch 45 seconds of this before stopping it - almost more painful than seeing Sky walk down Milledge in his spandex shorts.

giving "+1 to the Sky comment", Westerdawg you made me laugh out loud.

Sky Trivia:
1) Name of original bar he operated on Atlanta Highway
2) Name of second bar he operated on Broad Street -BONUS- name of bar before it was renamed
3) EASY -Football movie that featured Sky as an extra

If any of this foreign to you, you are either too young or part of the problem, as UGA has lost it's high ranking and outright ownership of the party school designation.

That sounds like a great slogan for UGA fans:

"Fat, dumb and ORANGE is no way to go through life, son."

Someone should have told Phil Fulmer this many years ago, if you ask me. Not to mention students, fans and coaches at Florida, Clempson, Auburn, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and now, Oklahoma State.

I had an old tshirt years ago that said "Rednecks turn orange in the fall" on the front, with the red circle/slash through UT, UF, AU, and Clemson on the back. The hilarious thing is how indignant fans of those programs get if you suggest they are a few finger sandwiches short of High Tea at the Ritz Carlton.

Btw, Big Sky's first bar in Athens was the infamous Fifth Quarter on Atlanta Highway. I think I left about 20% of my working brain cells there back in the late 70s. I'll leave the other trivia questions for someone else, but that dude was one of the largest human beings I ever saw. His playing weight now would barely scratch a HS lineman's, which goes to show you how things change.

It's now clear that when all the sportswriters, pundits, etc were calling Oklahoma State "The Greatest Offense In The Universe", they were mispronouncing "Offense".

FWIW, that Corey Smith song is terrible also.

Sky's original one was 5th qtr but he owned and operated it with 2 other partners.

The second one on Broad was The Frog pond. Which he owned and operated before he consolidated his efforts into Sky's Place.

I think the movie was North Dallas Forty, but I am not sure.
