Oh well. What do I know. Or for that matter...what do my well placed sources deep inside the television industry know either. lol. (no offense of course). This is great news.
ATHENS, Ga. --- The Saturday, Oct. 27, SEC football game between Georgia and Florida in Jacksonville will be televised by CBS with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. ET.
This will be Georgia’s second appearance this season on CBS. The Oct. 6 Georgia-Tennessee game in Knoxville was a CBS teleast. Georgia has appeared on CBS a total of 54 times and the Bulldogs have a record of 31-22-1. CBS Sports’ college football announce team for the Oct. 27 game will be Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson calling the action along with sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson.
Other Oct. 27 SEC games on television include Mississippi State at Kentucky (12:30 p.m. ET on Lincoln Financial) and Tennessee at South Carolina (7:45 p.m. on ESPN).

I don't care if they play this game at midnight on a barge in the middle of the st. johns. We need to WIN this game!!!!!!!!!
I'm glad everything I passed along was just a rumor. I'm looking forward to a full day of tailgating, but not a FULL DAY of tailgating.
Now, let's get healthy this week...
We were a lucky fumble away from this thing not even on TV. (kidding, sortof)
Good, now i will remember the game. Hopefully it's memorable.
Actually, I think you may have called it yesterday Paul, saying they worked a deal so the Cocktail Party wouldn't be a night game and that ESPN could have a legitimately relevant game to show.
Let's remember that if not for the fumble starting the 2nd half, we played toe-to-toe with the Gators last season.
What a great feeling it is having the off week while UF is playing.
I think UK has a legitimate chance to beat Florida. Can you imagine being able to hand Urban his *4th* consecutive loss? Hey...it could happen.
UF will beat Kentucky by 3 TDs.
Why is it "great news"?
It's great news b/c the alternative was beginning to sound like 12:30 EST start.
Logistically, parking and traffic would make arriving at the stadium for a 12:30 game *extremely* difficult with the current traffic patterns.
Plus, it would completely eliminate 80%+ of the tailgating/party vibe that makes the game special.
I have a theory that Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson love florida. Does anybody else notice how much they brag on them?
I hate Gary Danielson. I don't know if he is pro-gators, but he is near the top of the list for "arrogant announcers that think they know-it-all and never stop talking".
I'd almost rather have Bill Curry than Gary Danielson.
What is florida's record on cbs?
Looking for 7 tickets for the big game/I know its nuts but can anyone help out
Bulldogs should be leashed in Athens at The Varsity (Jr.), and not get trounced in Jacksonville by a superior Gator squad....spread should be 10 points.
