Wake Up and Tailgate - UK Game on LFS

Sunrise, or when you'll need to wake up on November 17 in order to get to Athens and tailgate.

In a decision I cannot understand, CBS has chosen to broadcast the LSU-Ole Miss game on November 17, instead of the Kentucky-Georgia game, which will air on Lincoln Financial. How do I begin to explain the injustice of this decision? First of all, why would anyone outside of Louisiana or Mississippi watch LSU, the conference's best team, destroy Ole Miss, the conference's worst team, other than for the entertaining sequence of the Oge shuddering, shaking, and eventually exploding under the pressure to win a conference game? No one. That's why it should be on regional television, like LFS.

Second, the SEC East race is still wide open and is unlikely to be decided this weekend no matter what the outcomes. It's conceivable that Georgia could clinch a trip to Atlanta with a win in that game. Meanwhile, the SEC West race is all but over. CBS even lists the Kentucky game as on of its "Key Dates" for the rest of the season on its website. No mention of LSU and Ole Miss.

Third, it makes me angry that I have to watch what could be the biggest game of the season broadcast early in the morning with the production values of a high school broadcast journalism project. What kind or sick producer hires an entire broadcasting team that shares the same first name, anyway?
