Baseball Dawgs Talk NCAA Tourney Seeds
Both Coach Perno and Coach Hall (GT) are hoping to avoid each other for as long as possible in the NCAA Tournament. However, BaseballAmerica projects UGA, Georgia Tech, Jacksonville State and Charlotte as playing in the Athens Regional. UGA gets the #7 national seed in that scenario.
If the Dawgs take two of three against Bama and win two in Hoover, I think they get the Super Regional Seeding. I personally don't care where Tech is seeded. The Jackets haven't done anything meaningful in the post-season in a while, and they've crumbled against UGA when it matters in the playoffs. So bring it on.

David Thoms = very nervous.
GT made the CWS in 2006 ... which is pretty recent in my book (and both GT and UGa went 0-2 and BBQ in that same CWS). We certainly have a fine history of doing jack squat in the CWS, but GT's NCAA Tourney record in regionals and super regionals has been pretty darn good.
All that being said - obviously nobody from Tech wants to play a regional in Athens. Just about the worst possible location to end up.
