These guys think special teams cost us the 2006 UT game? It was a crazy game for special teams - 1 87-yard PR for TD, 1 99-yard KR for a TD, 3 of 3 on PAT's, 2 of 2 on FG's. But we also missed a 2 pt conversion, had a punt blocked for a TD and 1 KO that went out of bounds.
However, here is the real reason we lost ... we were intercepted on our 20 and UT scored 7 plays later ... we were intercepted on our 36 and UT scored 4 plays later ... and we fumbled on our 44 and UT scored 9 plays later. The Vols did attempt a 2 pt conversion after the last TD so it ended up being a total of 20 pts. We lost by 18.
