UGA's 2008 Opponents as 30 Rock Characters

If you're not watching 30 Rock on NBC, you are missing the funniest show on television in years. The other downside to not watching...you really won't get Doug's comparison between the show's characters and our 2008 opponents.

Best 30 Rock bits ever....

Great piece of work by Doug. Glad to see that SI: On Campus picked up on it, and kudos to you for linking it.

What more can you want besides 30 Rock and UGA football? Oh, Lost... which is also on tonight.

Thanks for the link, and for doing your part to increase "30 Rock" viewership. Not to mention reminding the world that Alec Baldwin, whatever else one may think about him, is a comic genius.

Exactly - this is the kind of post and analysis that keeps me reading both this blog and Doug's.

And I don't need to vote with Alec Baldwin to like his comedic genius.

Boo-yah.

Not only is Alec Baldwin a comic genius, he was part of one of the greatest single scenes in movie history behind maybe the intro scene of Arthur and the end of the Usual Suspects.

I once sat in on a video-conference with Lorne Michaels (Producer of Saturday Night Live). Someone asked who his one big regret was, as far as not being a cast member. He said without pause "Alec Baldwin."

I agree with c.paul --- The guy's politics, to me, are asinine. But he is comic gold, and I can happily separate the two.

Sorry, but unlike some posters, I cannot separate his politics from his acting and therefore won't be watching. But, a big thanks to all who contribute to this great website!

Anon - Re: Baldwin's politics.

Man - 90% of Hollywood has the same politics. Unless you limit yourself to watching nothing but Heston and Chuck Norris, you're probably watching folks that agree with Baldwin.

They just as loud mouthed about it.

That's the same reason I refuse to listen to those loud mouth idiots Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. They just don't know when to shut up (something Baldwin could stand to learn, himself if my memory of his flap with his daughter from a few months ago is correct).

Yeah blackertai, Alan Colmes, Jeanine Garafollo, Bill Maher, Al Franken, et. al are quiet as a mouse! LOL!!!!

That's what crazy Libs are known for - their mild personalities and keeping their loud traps shut!

Seriously, dude.

I'm not here to get into a political argument with you. I was agreeing that sometimes peoples politics are secondary.

Personally, I agree with all those people you listed on a majority of positions, but I don't think I'm required to think any less of anyone on here because they don't. It's a disagreement about politics. They happen all the time.

Except Alan Colmes, who's about as liberal as George W. Bush's left toe.
