Day 1 practice reports seem to fall into three categories. The stories either center on expectations, off field shenanigans or intriguing freshmen. My favorite articles this time of year are the ones about expectations. Here are a sample of the ones that I enjoyed best:
- Let the Campaign Begin - ESPN (Ivan Maisel)
- Emotions Fuel Bulldog Rise - The State
- Down to Business - Chattanooga Free Press
- Stafford is growing up - Blutarsky (Links to ESPN)
- Not fazed by #1 ranking - Macon Telegraph
- Despite Hype: Only 3 Fulmer Cup Points for Weekend - EDSBS
- Dewberry issues apology - ESPN
- Long Arm of the Law - Arizona Republic (harsh)
- Ready for Football Talk - Columbus Ledger
- Moving past a crazy weekend - Macon Telegraph
- Green begins career at UGA - DawgPost
- Green's big day - UGASports.com
- Different styles for WRs - Access North Georgia
The stories I'd like to hear more about....
- Matt Stafford's comments to the team on Sunday. The AJC says he went ballistic, but they gave no details on it. I'd love to hear more on that.
- Carlton Thomas update - Dean Legge says he's extremely impressive.
- AJ Harmon - What's up with the big fella? He's starting out at DT. What are the odds he stays there?
- Bean Anderson - Is he stepping up? He reminds me of Alex Jackson or Ken Shackleford (prior to his SR year). Tons of ability, but is he motivated?

Great stuff as always PWD, especially the article from the guy in AZ. Wow - is that guy arrogant. Let's hope we can do our job and shut him up soon.
Go Dawgs!!
Thanks for all the links. I'd like to hear how Israel Troupe is coming along. I know we got about a dozen receivers but there sure was a lot of hype surrounding his recruitment and am curious as to how he is panning out.
Does the saying, "There's no such thing as bad publicity" only apply to movie stars? cause I'm sure Georgia Fans can do without a 45 second blurb on ESPN with 5 seconds about being number #1 preseason, 10 seconds about the tough schedule and 30 seconds about arrests. (As I was typing this ESPN just started about 5 players suspended and are now talking with Chip Towers from the AJC) He says the troubles are overshadowing the #1 ranking.
PWD- How's that for live update?
Anyway... Go DAWGS!!!
That was actually on ESPN First Take. And to note, Chip Towers quickly moved from the troubles and had good praise for AJ Green (really impressive, crack the line-up) and mentions of Moreno and Stafford, of course.
quietly thinks Tavarres King will have better numbers than A.J. Green at year's end --> this guy
