Not to sound like a smarter-than-you jack ass, but it didn't take those stats for me to realize that CMR is the best that we've ever had. I'm so proud of our coach.
Go Dogs.
"Not to sounds like a smarter-than-you jack ass" ... oops! Too late.
Seriously, I think most of us think Richt is the best we've ever had. But it never hurts to have yet another perspective to confirm that belief.
I already believed that Coach Richt was easily one of the 3 best coaches we've ever had (Butts, Dooley), and that he is well on his way to being the best. We all believe that he'll eventually add the only missing trophy to his resume.
The reason that struck me was because Richt has the exact same number of losses as his predecessor. I already knew that, but never really thought about it until I watched the 2001 UGA @ UT game a few days ago (obviously my favorite game).
As it was Coach Richt's first season at UGA, they displayed Jim Donnan's 5-year record on the screen. While 40-19 is nothing to sneeze at, it pales in comparison to 72-19.
Much like nct, I like looking at things from multiple angles so as to have a better understanding. This is particularly true with things I already believe, as new perspectives often reinforce strongly-held opinions.
