Your #1 Ranked Georgia Bulldogs

The AP Poll is out. Georgia is ranked #1. The details on the poll can be found here. Quick Notes:

• Our lead over #2 is actually a tiny bit wider (22 votes) vs. the Coaches Poll (8 votes).
  
  
• The gap between #1 and #3 is actually less in the new AP Poll (38 votes) vs. the Coaches Poll (46 votes)
  
  
• Ohio State and USC are flip flopped in the two polls between #2 and #3.
  
  
• Auburn is ranked #10 in the AP. That makes 4 SEC teams in the Top 10.
  
  
• Alabama is ranked 24th in the AP Poll. That makes 6 SEC schools ranked in the Top 25.
  
  
• I still feel like Georgia is going to enter the ASU game ranked #2. The AP and Coaches Polls will give the winner of USC vs. OSU the #1 spot. That's a good thing for us because it assures that the team will be that much more pissed off when they get to Tempe.

And remember, the AP Poll isn't really part of the BCS process. The Harris Poll is the other "human component" of the BCS formula, and it doesn't come out until Week 6 or so.
