Are people today even going to get that joke? The other day I told my favorite Lone Ranger joke to 4 20-somethings:
The Lone Ranger and Tonto are riding through the desert when a tribe of Apache descend on them. The Lone Ranger looks to Tonto and says, "Well, it looks like we're done for, Kemosabe." Tonto replies, "What do you mean we, white man?"
Three people totally whiffed on the joke and the 4th didn't think it was particularly funny but he thought Tonto was the horse and didn't think the horse could talk. I suddenly felt really old.

I believe this came from edsbs.com. They have several others too.
I teach high school seniors. Between classes I showed it to some who are Georgia fans. They didn't have any idea why it's funny.
I sympathize with your feeling, Dante.
