LSU Game Time Rumbling?

CBS said yesterday that it wants to wait til next week to announce the kickoff time for the UGA vs. LSU and Alabama vs. Tennessee games. CBS picks first for the 3:30 slot, and then the other game will be 7:45 on ESPN.

Does ESPN already know something? See this page:

Click on the screen shot to see a larger image / interesting possible development on the game time. This pic / link hardly makes the game time official, but it is interesting. (Ht - TackUGA)

some friends brought that up earlier today. if you go to the alabama page it says 7:45 for their game against UT. Definitely nothing official as you say.

I guess ESPN just knows it will get one of these games

ESPN changed the page already to say TBA

I hope it's 3:30. Night games in Death Valley SUCK for opposing teams/fans.

mudawgfan,

We won the last night game we played in Death Valley and lost the last 3:30 game.

Sure, it is louder, but if you go back and look, their winning percentage at night isn't really any different than during the day (or any other comparable team at night).

I hope its not 7:45 pm. Have we won a game yet that Todd Blackledge and Brittany's confidant have called?

ohhhh, shit:

"Tiger Stadium is commonly referred to as "Death Valley," due to its high level of cheering during games. The original nickname of "deaf valley" was applied to the stadium (distinguishing it from Clemson University's Memorial Stadium), but over the years was misunderstood for "death valley." During a nationally televised game against Auburn in 2003, ESPN recorded a noise level of 119 decibels at certain points in the game. During the October 6, 2007 game against the University of Florida, CBS recorded 129.8 decibels."

and that was an 8pm game. Here's hoping for a 3:30 game in the sixth largest city in Louisiana.

"In terms of general population, Tiger Stadium would be the sixth-largest city in Louisiana for the seven home games each year."
