Several Wildly Unrelated Things

1. Get your College Football Pick 'em selections in.

2. If you want to go to the LSU game, but you don't want to drive or fly. There's always the train. Amtrak is $58.00 each way (before senior citizen and AAA discounts). You can also bring your own booze on the train. So there's that. Tickets to the game are available via Stubhub. There's honestly nothing like a big game in Tiger Stadium. I doubt that it'll be a night game, but it's still the most out of control / awesome environment in football. (Note: If you are a recruiting reading this. I obviously mean...other than Athens). I believe the UGA Sections are the upper rows of 641-643 and the lower corner around 402. Our section is obviously bigger than that, but in general that's where our area begins.

3. The Uga Mascot Line was named #1 College Football Mascot by Fox Sports. The ranking must've been based on the awesomeness of Uga VI because so far Uga VII (bless his heart) is a wet rag. I've seen more enthusiasm at an Amish Car Show.

Go Dawgs.

You must have missed UGA VII going after smokey on Saturday. He's definitely got a little fight in him

PWD,
The 5:52 poster is right. UGA VII was basically ignoring that flea bitten coon dog and all his barking. But ole Smokey got a bit too close and VII haunched up and growled at that orange clad dog. Smokey made a very quick reversal.

I think VII is going to be great. He is a little lost in all what is going on right now, but he can be fiesty if messed with. I was proud of the pup.

I took my family by Amtrak to NOLA several years ago. Those scenic Amtrak posters? Fagedaboudit.

Most of the way, the tracks seemed to be laid in a 10-foot deep ditch. The only memorable scenery was the most depressed areas of each city we passed through, coming in and out of stations.

As far as the passengers, think Trailways bus, only 600 feet long. Most of their luggage is in shopping bags. Unruly kid running around. People bumming spare change. Can you say boomboxes?

It takes F-O-R-E-V-E-R. Despite what the schedule says, it will seem twice as long as a car trip. And the train WILL run late.

We switched to first class on the return trip, which amounted to bunk beds in an 8X8x6 cell. But at least there were on-board movies to watch. At nearly the cost of airline tickets.

Truly, after the first hour, the highlight of the trip is the mediocre food in the dining car.

And tickets ain't cheap.

Other than the slight inconveniences listed above, you'll have a ball on the train (if you're blitzed on the substance of you choice the entire time).

And, oh yeah. My truck was broken into in the Amtrak parking lot. Drove from ATL to Augusta with the rear window knocked out.

I have to agree, I've been telling my wife all along that Uga VII is a lazy dog. Doesn't have much fire at all unless another dog is around.

D,JD! This is a morose crowd so far! Hopefully, a Commodore ass-kicking tomorrow will brighten the mood!

PWD,

I agree with #3. I've had Tech and Clemson fans tell me "your dog is asleep". I don;t won't to hear that. I won't a mean lookin' bulldawg!

I have a widly idea to add.

If Mike Bobo keeps up his bonehead play calling like he did in the Tennessee game and Georgia doesn't crush Vandy by 25 points.

Then someone should take Uga VII up to the booth and let him pee on the call sheet or better yet have Uga VII just pee on Mike Bobo.

Listening to the halftime show, I can hear the Redcoats playing that old-school march. Friggin' sweet. (They may have done it before; I just haven't heard.)

It appears Uga VII should pee on the whole damn team.

What a joke this team is. I'm so digusted right now. This was a another sloppy ass performance by these Georgia Bulldogs. I'm getting sick and tired of what is happening to this team. Coach Bobo I'm coming to the fact I have no faith. Head Coach Mark Richt is acting so damn stupid about everything.

This team deserves the NO respect it gets because of the way the coaches are coaching this team.

I'm starting to get really embarressed about this Georgia Bulldogs team

UGAalum1980- You are an IDOIT!
Get behind the Dawgs or get out of the way! No room for a fair weather fan!!

Taking the train to the game sound so....Lewis Grizzard, a great American. Sounds like fun!

This game really does piss me off.

We should have cranked up over 40 points.

I think we actualy don't know how to put up points when it counts

Anonymous said...

It's obvious that we suck and can't seem to beat the hell out of the competition and crush them

I agree with kudzuhill. Coach Bobo is strugling and needs a kick in the ass

Our defensive ends are ass.

Geeez guys, we are 6-1 and ranked in the top 10 in the country. What are ya'lls problem. Holy shit. Go back into the sewers you came from. This team IS good and has a ton of heart. We lost 1 GAME to the #2 team in the country. RIDICULOUS guys. I wonder what ya'll were saying during the Donnan years.

Anonymous said...

it could have been worse. way worse. '06 worse. a win is a win and we didn't look as terrible as some people are making it sound! ...although...bryan evans...

Anonymous said...

Playcalling could have been better, but:

1) O-Line held pretty well considering the transition to new positions AGAIN.

2) D is still very solid against the run which is good going into LSU.

3) Finally had fewer penalties...and one of them was the most bullshit pass interference call I have ever seen.

I hate talking about the mythical "switch" being flipped, but the fact of the matter is we still haven't brought our "A" game yet and we are 6-1. Today we played a C+/B- game and beat a ranked conference opponent by 10. Mellow out until theres another loss to deconstruct.

I forgot to add, we are also now tied for 1st in the SEC east and control tiebreakers over every team in our division but Florida and Kentucky (which will come soon enough).

Not a bad place to be considering the injuries and breaks we've had since last Spring. Just remember, this time last year, people were predicting an 8-4 or 7-5 finish too.

Hey, ugaalum1980, if you were standing in front of me now, I'd slap you in the mouth. Agree with anon 5:23--get behind the Dawgs, or get the hell out of the way--shut your trap, or I'll slap it shut! By the way, you're a "joke" when you cannot spell "embarressed"...

Whenever I want to hear a bunch of fellow Dawg fans crying about how badly we win games, I know exactly where to find them.

I can't tell you all how thankful I am that I don't have to actually watch the games with you. Good lord.

We're all dawgs here. Let's not slap anyone in the mouth. Maybe ugaalum1980 had one too many bloody mary's this morning and has lost control of the keyboard.

Go Dawgs!! How do you say "Do You Knowshon?" in French?
