Dawgs Beat Vandy

Georgia got its second SEC win of the season by beating Vandy 61-57 last night at home. The win moves Georgia into 11th place in the SEC and gives Arkansas sole possession of last place.  On Sunday, the Dawgs travel to Fayetteville with the goal of keeping the Hawgs in last place.

UGA is almost certainly going to be the 6E Seed in the SEC Tourney; however, their first round opponent is far from set in stone.  Auburn, Mississippi State and Ole Miss are in a three way jumble for 2-4th place in the SEC West.  We get the 3W seed on Thursday at 3:15 pm in Tampa.  If we win, we get the 3:15 pm game on Friday as well vs. the 2E seeded team.

A "monkeys flying out of my butt" comment is conspicuously missing.

I never thought we'd go winless in the SEC. But I'm saving the monkey comment til we get closer to Tampa...and I check the weather forecast for the Tourney.

Did you at least make it over for this W Paul?

And remember, Arkansas knocked off Oklahoma before entering the SEC schedule I think 1-11 now? Are we sure Jeff Capel is the choice we want for head coach? Would opinions about him change if they lose in round 2, but guys like Brad Stevens and Russ Pennell are still coaching in the Sweet 16?

There is a 0% chance we actually win the SEC tournament like last year

Too bad the end of basketball season doesn't coincide with the start of hurricane season. I think we'd have a shot in a category 3 or better storm.
