My personal opinion, I believe we have a good coaching staff so pay them what is needed to keep them. However, if we flop on the D side of the ball this year then yes, there may need to be a change. I just have to trust coach Richt whether it's a friend or not.
I am going to resist the urge to comment on the 5% raise our DC got. Whoops....I just mentioned it. Oh, well since I've already started, wish I could get a raise when the area I am responsible for, for a lack of a better word, sucked.

Bobo is a horrible quarterback coach. David Greene actually digressed under his instruction and Matthew Stafford did not develop as he should have. I wouldn't let Bobo coach my three year old.
Nice comments about Bobo...obviously he has no clue what is doing...he just recruited 2 of the Nations best 11 QB's. Some of the comments on here boggle the mind. Must be a Techie in hiding.
Thanks for the insult but I am not a Tech fan. Yes Bobo did recruit two of the Nation's best QBs and it is a shame that both of their careers will suffer at his hand. I am quite sure that deep down Stafford wishes he had signed with Texas. Colt McCoy is turning out quite nicely.
I was at signing day Feb. 4th and Coach Stacey Searles was giving Bobo a lot of praise in calling the plays that fitted the OL based on what they were capable of. As the Senator says, it's not Bobo.
Both deserve raises. The continuity of our staff is the main reason why we continually have top recruiting classes. Have you not heard recruit after recruit talk about the family atmosphere at UGA?
To the person knocking Bobo, keep it up. You just validated my initial suspicions. Sometimes you are just better off to let folks THINK you are an idiot, instead of continuing to confirm it.

Why do we only give our assistants one year contracts when they openly express they want to stay & have the stability of longer contracts?
I don't mind the salaries but neither Bobo or Martinez deserve it. Now we will never get rid of them!

Yeah, I'm sure he really regrets going to UGA, which groomed him into the (likely) #1 NFL draft pick.
McCoy couldn't carry Staffords jock strap. In time you will see who will be the best NFL QB.
Complaining about Martinez getting a salary bump is moronic.

Yeah Stafford has degressed under Bobo's watch. He is only going to be the #1 overall pick coming out as a junior. Man, that is terrible.
Oh, and Greene did not have as good a supporting cast in 2003 and took us to the SEECC game. What a regression...
