Get to Know: Oklahoma State

The UGA at Oklahoma State game is predictably a measuring stick for this year's edition of the Big 12 vs. SEC debate. That's certainly the way ESPN is playing it. Personally, all I think the game will show is whether or not Georgia is better than the Cowboys.

Regardless, here are some profile pieces on the Cowboys from their local papers:At the end of the day, I think the Pokes have about 4-5 guys that would definitely start for Georgia. Okung, Bryant, Hunter, Robinson are the obvious choices. We may have more overall talent, but the match-ups cause considerable concern. But we'll know soon enough who had the horses.

Matchups as the key to the game is exactly right. Who do we have that can cover Bryant? Will we get an effective pass rush w/o blitzing linebackers?

Off topic, but does anyone care to guess whether Richt/UGA could be or will be accused of over-practicing like Rodriguez/UM? How many schools just altered their practice schedules because of those allegations? Don't even tell me that UM isn't the only school that struggles with this.

UM may not be the only school, but a player who played under Carr, under Rodrqiguez, and has now transferred to Colorado is saying that the the other two programs did not have this issue:

The problem apparently is that the coaches mandated and oversaw time that should have been voluntary, and that other programs essentially have a player-peer pressure approach to it rather than official monitoring and punishment for missing "voluntary" time.

I want to punch that chick and her over the top facial expressions in the face...of course, I would never punch someone for their style of sports commentating. She's probably a nice girl, but man that clip was annoying.

How stupid is this to be all worked up over something like that? I really need Saturday to get here fast. 5 days! Go Dawgs!

Matchups are funny. I recently re-watched the 2005 Boise St. game, and noticed that Ryan Clady was starting his first college game at RT for the Broncos.

For those who don't know, Clady is now in Denver and is arguably the best LT alive.

On that day though, Quentin Moses absolutely ate his lunch.
