AJ Green "Celebration" another camera angle

Unbelievable. Uploaded by DrewinSC. I'm more sick about the play after watching this than I was before. What a screw job.

F*@% Zebras!!!!

Someone needs to call out the refs and have them show specifically what he did to warrant a penalty instead of the generic garbage they put out in their statement. It's generic becuase they can't show specifics.

That guy needs to be fired. The rule needs to be abolished and adopt the NFL rule. That way it takes ALL the subjectiveness out of it. Its crap. Washington lost a game last year because of a similar crap call.

I don't have to watch it again to know it was a crap call. But there will be no accountability. The ref that threw the flag will be out there screwing up another game for somebody next week.

SEC Officials suck. It really is as simple as that.

We should now call this game the "Classic City Screw Job."

They've offically said we screwed up.

So what.

Send it into the SEC and CBS.

I know that Richt is a bigger man than I but if I was coaching, here is what I would direct my team to do after a touchdown.

Flip the ball to the nearest official. Do not raise your hands, acknowlege the crowd, say anything to an opponent.

Everyone that is not part of the special teams sprints off the field as fast as possible.

On the bench you have a designated celebration area where you proceed to celebrate. In fact, I would direct the press box for home games to put some special music on PA, tell the players to dance to their hearts content.

It would be legal under the rule but violate the spirit of the rule itself.

BTW...while looking at whether the official who threw the flag should continue to work games, they should also look at the lardass ref from that crew who, literally, was unable to run. I assume it was the umpire, but the guy has no business calling games that are moving at the speed of an SEC game.

BTW, the end result is that this crew will not work Georgia games the rest of the year, and it increases our chances of getting Penn.

If you really want to be upset watch the Wisconsin-Minnesota replay and watch the guys do the Paul Bunyan axe swing after scoring.

I find it exceedingly gratifying to see the Dawgs lie in the bed they made in Jax in 2007.

Karma is a bitch, huh guys?

Schadenfreude at its best!

Just wait until Jax this year for the repeat of 2008.

"And the Lord will smit the sodomites and the sinners"

And his name shall be Tebow!

Rot in hell Dawgs.

Beating you every year just gets more and more amusing.

You has this one coming to you.

NEVER F with the Gators again.

Whatever Gator Hank, just humor us and explain why the penis cutter can Gator Chomp his John Moxon-plagiarizing a$$ off with no repercussions, but AJ Green, the greatest athlete in the SEC, does absolutely nothing, and warrants a 15 year penalty that completely changes the tide of a game.

The karma argument is just stupid. If you're really, honestly supportive of the notion that officials are justified in holding a grudge for two years (or longer? Does it stop with this call?) against a coach, then there is truly a fatal flaw in the system that affects all of college football, not just UGA.

Idiots.

Having said that, I have to believe that the official who threw the flag was looking to do it before the play happened. AJ caught the ball, handed it to the ref, celebrated with the team for maybe 5-10 seconds, and then went to the sideline. Nothing he did comes close to justifying a penalty.

Why was he looking to throw the flag? I have no clue. Sucks though, and it doomed us, given our terrible kick coverage.

I will try to look on the bright side here...maybe the ensuing debacle on kick coverage will spur some changes in that department?

I guess Gator Hank got a little taste of his karma arguement when his mancrush Tebow got brained trying to run up the score in a game he should have already been out of, on the sideline circumcising infants.

Oh, and Hanky, word out of Gainesville is that Timmy is still having major problems from his boo-boo. But Urby won't care come Saturday, and he'll risk turning him into Muhammed Ali.

Class act ya got down in G'ville.

Dont forget the head ref of this game went to TECH!! Ohh and the head of the SEC referees went to TECH!!

He has apologized on monday and said it WASNT a flag..should have been NO CALL!!

THat really helps now though huh..Im sick. I love that team, and I am not mad at them. This game was stolen

This will go down as one of the ultimate screw jobs, right there along with the Jasper Sanks fumble. We still should have been able to cover the damn kickoff, but this call screwed us royally.
I hope we respond from this by getting pissed off and going on a tear in Knoxville.

I swear that ref went for his flag just as AJ is running towards his teammate. That's just unreal and this guy needs to have his house and phone wire-tapped to find out if he's taking some $$$ on the side.

Aren't Tech grads supposed to be our bosses with high paying rocket scientist jobs? Are there a few that go into being refs just so they can screw us?

Tebow is the worst at "bringing attention to himself, taunting, and pandering to the crowd." He should be flagged every time. In the gators last game he was actually vomitting in bags on the sideline, like Kentucky was so bad it made him sick to watch them. That's taking it way too far.

The celebration penalty was ultimately brought about because of the Miami Hurricanes of the late 80's and early 90's. They were the ones who brought about the "throat slash" imagery, removal of the helmet in the endzone after scoring, taunting opponents after any positive play, and basically acting like thugs (which they were). Vince Dooley and others moved to do something about it. Now, it has been bastardized into the interpretation that official used on Saturday. If you watch that video of AJ's reaction after the score, it is NOTHING compared to what brought about the rule in the first place. Neither is the action that got Orson Charles flagged, who was simply trying to get his home fans pumped up without being disrespectful to LSU. Tebow has been doing the exact same thing for three and a half years every third play, yet, not one flag has been thrown on him.

Well, your coach said he wanted y'all to commit more penalties and be "aggressive". So I guess he got his wish.
Get ready for the beating of a lifetime when y'all come to Atlanta.

How 'bout them Dawgs?
Piss on 'em!
