Indiscriminate Tech Hate, With a Lonely Exception

Georgia Tech is a haven for terrorists, drug dealers, cheaters, and dorks (do I really need a link?).  Also, they have no women.  Even if they had women, they still wouldn't stop playing Witches & Warcraft long enough to swab down with an Oxy Pad and ask one out for a date to the Star Trek convention.
With that said, if you see a member of the Tech baseball team collecting money for Chance Veazey Saturday, shake the kid's hand and say "thank you."  That's a class move from Danny Hall and their team.

So does terreal bierra mean that UGA is a haven for murderers?

Quinton McDawg said...

Was he a student at the time he murdered someone? All the Tech offenders were students at the time. And by the way, you went with Bierra over Quincy Carter?

Georgia is a haven for public drunkards and unlicensed, bad drivers.

UGA is a haven for murderers and rednecks!! At least our so called "terrorist" (note, singular) didn't do near as much damage as your murdererS (plural).

How about your altruistic fraternity members who kidnap defenseless students from other universities and beat the crap out of them. Classy too.

How about your environmentally friendly school, who can't seem to find a trash can on game day (or maybe who aren't smart enough to throw things away). The very same type of people who somehow manage to wash away the field paint into their own creek.

It's no wonder the university [sic] of Georgia is a disgrace to the state and a disgrace to your parents. While some state universities like Michigan, UNC, UVA, Cal, etc. make their states proud, y'all can't even crack the top 50 schools in the country. Even the University of Wisconsin, Washington, Penn State, FLORIDA, Texas, and Ohio State are ranked ahead of y'all. You idiots are tied with Pepperdine and Syracuse, just ahead of Clempson, Fordham, Purdue, A&M (an agricultural school) and the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

I didn't go to Tech, but I would only expect a bunch of dick rags like you to somehow pollute what the Tech baseball team is doing by some inane drivel beforehand.

I do plan on giving $20 to the poor second baseman.

PS - Reuben was only bringing it cause uga was smoking it.

That kid isn't in a fraternity at UGA or even a UGA student.

UGA campus is way better looking than Tech's.

Anon @ 9:53. Learn to read.

"How about your altruistic fraternity members who kidnap defenseless students from other universities and beat the crap out of them."

That means uga students

(i.e. "your altruistic fraternity members")

are kidnapping people who aren't uga students

(i.e. "defenseless students from other universities")

and beating them senseless.

"UGA campus is way better looking than Tech's."

Not after a football game. Unless, of course, you mutts actually dig the landfill look.

Recent conversation at Tech:

[Lewis and Gilbert are discussing Gilbert's girlfriend, innocently]
Booger: Big deal! Did you get in her pants?
Gibert: She's not that kind of girl, Booger.
Booger: Why? Does she have a penis?

If at Tech, I am sure she did.

I can tell you didn't go to Tech. First of all, you're assuming that the U.S. News ranking methodology is a valid way to "rank" universities. Second, taking that methodology for fact, we're waaaay outside the top 50, aren't we? Yeah, we're a school full of morons that have produced how many Rhodes, Truman, and Fulbright scholars?

Good Lord, if you're going to respond to a facetious point on an internet blog, at least be amusing.

Cal is making the state proud by having hippies that refuse to get out of the trees so the stadium can be expanded.

LOL @ the Rhodes scholar comment. You know you are a stupid mutt when you think the number of Rhodes scholars you have demonstrates the greatness of your university. And you made fun of me for looking at US News rankings. There are now THIRTY-TWO Rhodes Scholarships per year. Over THREE THOUSAND people have received Rhodes scholarships since 1902. Oh my, you had FOUR between 1996 and 2003? Ivy league HERE YOU COME. You had TWO in 2008? WOW. A total of nineteen ever? That's HALF A PERCENT of all US Rhodes scholarships.

You must be so proud that, in over 100 years, nineteen people at your university (out of how many hundreds of thousands?) have been singled out as intelligent. It's the exact same laughable argument that Vandy, with 30 all-americans in football, has a great football program.

Good lord, if you're going to run a football blog, at least be amusing or supportive of your team.

Dude, seriously, get a life. Not only are you boring and wrong, you're kind of creepy.

We should resist the temptation to get lured into a conversation with Tech fans about the relative merits of UGA vs. Tech. Tech needs and craves that kind of validation.

In reality, the only reason this series is a "rivalry" is because losing to them causes burning shame and humiliation, just as getting beat up by a retarded person would. That doesn't make the retarded kid your rival--it just makes you lame for losing. Beating Tech delivers all the satisfaction of a win over Vanderbilt.

We should just approach the game as business as usual. When we win, file out and quietly enjoy the taste of their tears. We wouldn't debate a Georgia Southern fan or attempt to argue why we're a superior school and athletic program.

I'd like to see this series follow the same track as Penn State and Pitt. They don't play every year because it's not a competitive series, and it's just not worth it to Penn State. I'd much rather play Tech a couple times a decade and pick up a game against a school that's more fun to play. In the process, we'd take away their entire reason for existence.

Who are you freaking losers??!! Seriously! How and why do you have the time and interest to actually bother to read and then write this stupid shit at some other fangroup's sports blog? I seriously want to know, although I am certain that I will never, ever understand!

No offense tech apologist, but with an undergrad degree from UNC, masters from UGA and a PhD from Stanford, I feel I can be of help to enlghten you.

I suppose if you don't have very many Rhodes scholars (like Tech) you feel like you shouldn't use that to tout academic achievement. It's funny that all the schools I've gone to seem to think that's a pretty important indicator of rigor. And you do understand that US News rankings don't take into account the type of school they are ranking.

If you'll ask around, you'll find that most consider UGA to be just as rigorous as Tech...which...in case you haven't taken a look around, is a pretty small specialty school and not a flagship state university.

Most national academics know UGA as a large university with a national reach. Most academics know Tech as a top-notch engineering school and nothing more.

I lived in CA for years and was hired for my first job over a Tech "MBA" grad because my boss had never heard of Georgia Tech's program. Most I met there usually compare UGA to VA or UNC and I never really heard mention of Tech outside of Atlanta, sorry.

UGA doesn't have a medical or engineering school, which sets it apart from other universities in the region in the area of research (especially).

But in spite of that fact, UGA has more programs ranked in the top 10 and 20 than does GA Tech, UNC, or the University of Virginia.

Landscape Architecture: #1, Historic Preservation #2. Journalism, Housing and Consumer Economics, Public Policy, Risk Management...I could go on, but you probably don't know what those programs are, or will say they're not important.

UGA attracts a very diverse and highly educated student population, contrary to what you would like to believe. But if you read any academic news, you would know that, wouldn't you?

You don't. And that's another reason we roll our eyes and laugh at you. Because you want to believe something so badly that you make things up and pretend it's true.

So say what you want...nobody's listening to you outside those of us who look down our nose at you. You're not changing anyone's minds.

Learn how to "know what the F you're talking about"

(ie. the "fraternity member" you refer to is not a UGA student and thus not in a fraternity)

But David, haven't you heard?
Tech is the MIT of the south.
