- The team hotels in Shreveport are reversed from my initial rundown. The Dawgs will be at the downtown Hilton. The Aggies will be at the Clarion. Sam's Town, another Georgia hub, is about two blocks away from the Hilton.
- The team arrives in Shreveport on Christmas Eve, much to the chagrin of Rennie. The solution to those blues: beat Kentucky at home.
- Our former football coaches will still get their bowl bonuses. That'll take the edge off being unemployed during the holidays. Sounds like Wall Street bankers negotiated those deals.
- The Dawgs are still a touchdown favorite in a game where motivation will be key. David Hale reports that the Dawgs are still excited about the bowl game, but I find that sentiment hard to believe. The players are saying the right things, but it's got to be hard to get excited after a lackluster season that leads to a defensive staff housecleaning.
- The Georgia fans aren't excited about Shreveport, but the Gator fans aren't excited about New Orleans. If the Sugar Bowl is a letdown, you may have too good of a program. I might shank a few of you if it'd get the Dawgs a Sugar Bowl spot.

That does seem odd for them to be in LA on Christmas. Leave on Saturday, I say.
Poor pitiful UF with their Sugar Bowl game. Boo Hoo.
I believe the players are excited. I can't remember participating in a game that I wasn't excited about playing in. Perhaps on the college level, the same cannot be true. But heck, when I was in college, I even got excited about playing in meaningless intramural sports.
Excited? Why would we as fans believe the team would be up for Texas A&M? They could not get up for the Vols or 'Tucky, not to mention the Cowpokes from Stillwater for the 1st game of the season. Why would we believe they get up for this game? Who knows, maybe they come out in red pant to give the team some added "juice"! Can't wait to see how CMR motivates the squad!
