Trey Thompkins named 1st team All-SEC

Trey becomes the first UGA player to make the first team All-SEC squad since Jarvis Hayes in 2002 and 2003.  In looking at the All-SEC roster and the broader SEC landscape, it looks like Trey would be one of the true front-runners for SEC Player of the Year if he returns for his junior season in Athens.

Some of the other top candidates would be: (Current Class Listed)
Chris Warren (Jr.) - Ole Miss
AJ Ogilvy (Jr.) - Vandy
Bledsoe (Fr.) - UK
Kenny Boyton (Fr.) - UF
Courtney Fortson (So.) - ARK
Scotty Hopson (So.) - UT

Assuming all of those guys come back.  Regardless, Trey has our best chance to win it since Dominique won it in 1981...the only time a UGA Player won the award. (Source: wikipedia)

Neville Austin should have in '90. Those free throws to help clinch the SEC were clutch. Especially considering his career FT% was like...2.

Just sayin'.

B, I was at the game they clinched it. That was a great team. No super stars, just solid basketball players. As long as I live Shaq will be six points, five fouls to me.

I would throw Marshawn Powell from Arkansas into that group also. Dude is a gamer.

Ex, was that you I elbowed as I hurdled the scorer's table on the way to the midcourt melee?

Easily my best undergrad memory. And didn't Shaq get 6 fouls? Back then the SEC allowed 6 before fouling out.
