New Georgia Bulldog Video

Radi from UGASports.com says this will be the video played in game after the third quarter. Given that it's roughly four minutes long, I doubt that it'll be played in its full length. But it's good regardless.

After the third quarter in home Basketball games, right? I ask because that seems to be the primary focus these days.

Nice Florida highlight.

Maybe I'm an old fogie, but that song does absolutely nothing for me. I'm just into rap.

If Branden Smith is ruled ineligible, are they going to edit his highlights out?

I like it as well. I shouldn't offend the sensitive fans.

AWESOME Paul...how can I download this vid to my blackberry or laptop?

James Brown it's not, but it'll do.

Nice. Who's the artist?

my thoughts...
Wow, I had forgotten how much of a man among boys AJ is.
Wish there were have been a little bit longer clip from the Rambo game-saver against Auburn.
We actually had quite a few big plays last year... but most of them seemed to be on offense.
Overall, not a fan of the music, but there were some good lines in the song.

I hate it.

"Who cares about the Razorbacks?"

It's classless and why supply another team with bulletin board material.

I will not be surprised if karma bites us in the ass and we lose to Arkansas.

Needs more cowbell.

Wait a minute... What is a football video doing on a basketball blog?

The Realist said...

I approve. It's hard to believe there were that many highlights from the Tennessee game, though.

I love the pre-game video because of the history and tradition in it. This is the garbage that has plagued our program in recent years. Let's make a video when we a national championship. Until then, we should take a more humble attitude like the champions of Shreveport that we are!

that won't be played in game at all...that's just silly.

I like the video. However I could do without any highlights from the Tennessee game. Just bad memories.

I like the video, but the song is soooooo bad.

Will there be a cfb pick it pool this year ?

Highlights are great, but the music ... not so much ... guess I'm getting old or something.

Cheesy.

I hope they never show that in Sanford Stadium.
Ever.

Let the Redcoats play and be done with it.

We have a good band full of kids we pay to play music. Why do we need this stuff?

Skeptic Dawg said...

WTH? Who had the nerve to include Florida and Kentucky highlights in this video? What a shame! This is what we have become in Athens! I agree with Quinton: "We have a good band full of kids we pay to play music. Why do we need this stuff?" This is for the birds!

Love the people on here complaining about the basketball stuff.. There are other blogs, get over yourself. Oh and, that song was kinda lame

Anonymous said...

This. Is. Terrible.

Music is terrible.

Attitude it conveys is terrible.

Taunting it encourages is terrible.

It's just terrible.

The Redcoat Band is super lame. I sadly remember when the GT Band played "Put On" continuously while their team ran UGA down to win a shocker.

Boogers said...

really?? just one weak Gator highlight?? thats all you have to show?? oh yea...I guess it is like 17-3 over the past 20 years..kinda hard to find highlights when we keep lighting you puppies up...

Go Gators

Oh my God, I hope not. The music is atrocious. Earplugs in order. Pls. UGAA, different soundtrack. I don't even think the video is better than last year.

If you are going to take that step and possibly alienate a crowd by using rap, at least make it intimidating. Hell, blaring Slayer would sure turn more heads than this (also possibly make small children cry).

Anonymous said...

Yes, by all means, let's let the Redcoats get everyone pumped up with another classic by Earth Wind and Fire, followed by one of the hits by Chicago.

Deg said...

Had to stop playing after two seconds due to the horrible music. :(

I swear if if I hear Miley Cyrus played in our stadium again, ill jump off the top of the stadium

VAdawg said...

I don't necessarily love the song, but if it pumps up the players, play it. Every part of the gameday experience should be completely geared towards giving the Dawgs the best chance to win. I don't care if I like it or not, just as long as it helps the dawgs get pumped.

Cousin Pat said...

Thank goodness someone else brought up the Miley Cyrus thing, so I didn't have to.

The University of Georgia does not need pumped-in, pre-canned music.

I hope that this is a joke. First the party in the UGA video and now this? I really, really hope McGarity's first order of business is to take one look or listen to this and respond: "Over my dead body"

Anonymous said...

Music is crap..... Hope our new AD will pull this rap crap. I pay for a football game not a vulgar rap concert.

Anonymous said...

Radi said it'd be played before the third quarter, not after. Great video!

Anonymous said...

Vulgar??!?

You're a dying breed, thank Dawg.

BCSAV said...

That crap is an embarrassment. What a joke! Play Baba O'Riley and put some Walker and Pollack highlights up then let the Redcoats take over. Leave this garbage for Savannah State!

CoachSpurlock said...

From what I've heard, the players (especially Justin Houston) like it. And to be honest, I couldn't care less if it fires me up as long as it stokes the players. If it hypes up the players and they convert that energy to winning on the field, I'll be willing to call it the greatest video ever.
