Is it just me?

I'm having a difficult time not drinking a big glass of kool aid with the news coming out of Athens.  On one hand, I know we are still thin at offensive line and are one injury away from a true freshman starting.  On the other, the defensive news is just delicious.

Or it could be I am just that hungry for football to start.

UPDATE: Check out today's practice pics on Dawg Post.  Justin Scott-Wesley is even more cut than he was based on his pictures from the state track and field championships.  Also, the over/under this season on the number of dbacks that take on Figgins one on one in the flats on a toss sweep and need to be helped off the field is 2.5.  Damn, he's a beast.

When one side of the ball excels, that typically means the opposite side is not very good. I take zero stock in what comes out of camp this early.

Skeptic Dawg, if you don't accept the news that one side is looking good why accept the news that the other side is looking bad?

Figgins is like 6'7, isn't he? I'm concerned about his ability to get low.

I just hope the guys stay healthy.

I'm trying to not get excited about the reports myself, but it's hard not to when all we're getting is sunshine and roses out of the coaches' mouths.

Honestly, I'd feel a lot better if for a few days Richt came out and blasted the guys, whether it was warranted or not. In order for me not to be nervous that this team isn't the same as 08, 09, 10, it needs to sound different than 08, 09, 10.

I'm not being a pessimist as much as I'm just looking for similarities and differences.
