NIKE Reveals Georgia's Uniforms for Boise St.

Nike has pics of the new UGA Pro Combat Uniforms. You can see them here. They aren't my cup of tea per se, but they look dramatically better than the rough drafts that were floating around.

I actually like the Silver helmet especially given that we have some history in that area with the pre-1964 uniforms. However, the uber wide red stripe blows. Regardless, it's a one game deal. And we aren't doing it as a motivation technique...just a money grab...so I'm fine with it.

Mainly, I want to see the gloves. If they are waterproof and cool, I'll be purchasing a pair.

Trying to decide if it is a natural aversion to changing the best looking unis in CFB or if they look too much like Fresno State. As long as the players inside them are ready to go, I don't care.

The gloves are sick. Here's a link.

Looks like Texas Tech with silver helmets. Ugly. But if they wear pink tutu's and win I'll be happy.

The red on the helmet looks like some weird mohawk.

The helmets actually look a lot like Ohio State circa early 60s with the grey helmet and broad scarlet rubber pad.

I am not crazy about these things, but if the kids like them and it is one game only, go for it. Nike has done worse.

One cup of fake juice, coming up!

They look like sh*t, but whatever. I'd like to take that fugly helmet and shove it up Phil Knight's ass. Just win.

Too much red! I'd rather have black with red highlight.

Look like sh*t, but if they win I don't care. Don't win and the sh#t rains down on them.........

Change uniforms doesn't bother me, But this is the worst looking Jersey Nike has ever put out.

Pants - OK
Helmet - Very sharp
Gloves - Very Nice
jersey - Screams Jr-high football team...that's what everybody looks at.

The Jersey just kills the whole design.

Nike Fail, IMO*

These suck. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I understand it but just think they look ridiculous. Mix of a Canadian league, arena league, and NFL Europe uniform. One game only and I'm okay. Win or lose, I really hope we never see any part of them again.

My wife who is not a football fan, saw them on my monitor and said those are some nice looking jerseys.

So maybe we just are fashion aware or something haha.

Will you post where you find the gloves for sale when you do purchase them. I'm not positive they'll be available...

I don't recall you people pissing and moaning this much about giving up a home game and opening in the Dome vs. Boise. Home games openers are tradition, you know.

This is a non-traditional approach for a non-traditional game.

Anon 8:48 - The first game was going to be an away game at Louisville before the schedule change. It was more embarassing to stoop so low to agree to play at Louisville. So the Boise game itself is an improvement, but the uniforms are horrible.

What is the over/under on the number of celebration penalties the Dawgs will get for showing the "G" in their gloves?

@Anon 203

Nope.

To clear room on its schedule, Georgia canceled a contract with Louisville that had called for games against the Cardinals in 2011 (in Athens) and 2012 (in Louisville).

The Louisville series was a joke. We should never have to play AT Louisville. Damon Evans was a moron.

not a fan of the helmets and they could have worked harder on the uniforms. Just saying
