For all the news that comes out about Georgia Athletics, one thing that too often gets over looked are the good deeds done and legitimately positive impact they make on the Athens community and beyond. Last night was one of events.
Mark and Cindy Fox hosted Suits and Sneakers at Stegman last night, benefiting the American Cancer Society. This is the second year the Fox's have hosted this in Athens, after doing it during their time in Reno. It was good to see so many people in the community out supporting the cause. The coaches, Greg McGarity, many higher level university administrators, and Athens/State business leaders were there to support this worthy cause. The silent auction items were well bid on and the live auction items, including a Herschel Walker signed GATA sign that I am still probably breaking a Comandment over, had plenty of action.
Last night was only one of many such events put on by Georgia's coaches and athletics administration. Their impact, through both large visible events such as this one and the small day to day stuff, is nearly incalculable. Too often, we (personally and the fan base) focus only on the negatives. I wanted to make sure I didn't do that in this case.

Cindy Fox was very mean to the volunteers at this event. She will be lucky to have any next year.
