Bobo: Smith and Crowell Will Never Play Offense Together

Submitted without comment from Emerson's write up on Georgia Offensive Coordinator Mike Bobo's Wednesday press conference:

Q: How are you all going to solve that number issue with (Crowell and Smith.)

Bobo: "They can't be on the field at the same time. That's the only answer I've got. (Laughs). There's no solving it."

Q: Could you all put another jersey on them before the game? Would you all consider doing that?

Bobo: "No. They just can't be on the field at the same time."

Redonkulous.

This type of coaching/management issue makes me cringe.

I really don't buy it. He's gotta be lying through his teeth.

If he is being serious though, that's unbelievable.

So we limit ourselves intentionally in this thing? We only land Crowell (I assume telling him, "you're our only TB in this class") leaving a massive problem depth wise when two obvious departues from the spot leave behind only a clearly too small or too slow player behind. And then packages that may be successful are for naught, because we have to let these kids have a stupid #? The list of idiotic, self-defeating moves by this staff grows longer by the day.

What's up with Seth's page? I noticed every link to Macon.com I go to requires me to log in to view the content. Did something change over there?

Boise strikes me as the kind of team where guys just want to win, and this I-want-that-number-no-I-want-it silliness wouldn't happen. Maybe I'm projecting.

But clearly our guys aren't wearing Erk Russell's TEAM/me tshirts.

It really wouldn't even matter. We probably wouldn't even use them correctly if they WERE on the field together.

Anon 2:46, no idea. I haven't had that problem.

I've said all summer long that if that was honestly issue, it's a fireable offense. Good freaking grief. Richt you allow this......you must go. This officially puts me on the fire richt bandwagon.

Is there a possibility he's kidding, and that he laughed because the coaches have something planned for the two of them in the game at the same time?

It shows where things are that I'm hoping he's just kidding, but I know history would suggest he's not.

This team has so many more problems that this. Just drop it!!!

Submitted without comment? You guys are taking this seriously?

We may be looking for new coaches soon, but it ain't because of stuff like this.

I think I'll stay away from this blog from now on, the caliber of both moderator and commenter are really unimpressive.
