Let me go on the record: I don't believe in a GameDay curse or whatever (I'm working on a post about our record on GameDay). I also wholeheartedly agree with Logan Booker at Bulldawg Illustrated about the benefits to having GameDay in Athens. Georgia was going to lose to Alabama in 2008, regardless of the jerseys worn, what network it was on, who ran out the tunnel first, or what time the kickoff was.
On top of that, it can only help our program recruit if these kids see GameDay in Athens, because that is what they all hope to see: themselves being featured in promos leading up to GameDay.
As for September 28th, GameDay is not coming to Athens. Wisconsin vs. Ohio State is already scheduled for 8pm on ABC. Unless Wisconsin loses this week to Purdue and they hold off announcing the location until after that game (they have been announcing the next week's match-up during the broadcast), they'll be in Columbus.

What is College Gameday?
GameDay (n): A magical show that causes Georgia to play poorly.
Very rarely, unless it is Alabama/Texas A&M, will you see ESPN Gameday go to a location that is not being carried on their family of networks. Good prediction.
Why does the media hate Georgia?
They don't do it much, and certainly won't with #3 already slated to kickoff in primetime on ABC.
FWIW, I think they'll be at GA/Fla for the CBS game, unless one or both of us fall apart: http://georgiasports.blogspot.com/2013/07/college-gameday-predictions-weeks-6-10.html
