Is Paul Johnson on the hot seat?

I hate to get off task this week with Florida in just six days, but this piqued my interest:
The smoke around the status of Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson seems to be growing.
Now, don't get me wrong. I don't want anything good to come for Georgia Tech. And as a blogger, CPJ is a great resource for material. Still, if they are in a coaching change situation, or there are rumors around about that, it'll only distract from matters at hand come Thanksgiving week.

Selfishly, I want him to stay at Tech forever.

Now, that site is a bit of a rumor mill (their name makes it so), but they are also right more than they are wrong. The next few weeks bear watching closely on North Avenue.

But didn't they just have a "signature" "program changing" win over a very mediocre UVA? That wasn't enough to save his job given the "high" expectations over at North Avenue Trade School?

Not sure that site's record is much better than 50/50. If he beats us he gets a lifetime deal. That said he really needs to beat Pitt. Just to avoid a 6-6 season heading into a meaningless bowl in Kandahar

Georgie tek has not won a Major Bowl game after 1955, not ever won the AP Poll National Championship in any sport ever - except for Women's Tennis once, lost 8 of their last 9 bowl games, our coach is in his 13th season here and Georgie tek has beat us but once, and Georgie tek has one (1) Conference Championship after 1952. Who cares what they do ?
