“It took a little while to get transitioned there,” Richt said. “You couldn’t quite get the tempo that you hoped for. You definitely couldn’t get the tempo of Clemson’s offense, the pace in which they go. …We’ll have to do a better job of getting that together. It was one of the first shots for our scout team to start simulating Clemson.”

It's not the difference between Nos. 4 & 5 that matters, it's the difference between Nos. 2 & 5 that matters. No. 5 had NO SHOT under the BCS, now No. 5 at least has/had a shot and didn't make into the No. 4 slot. Of course, I doubt No. 5 will look at it that way.
