Jack Kingston = Great American

Well, I have no idea if he's a great American or not, but he's a whale of a Gator Hater. (Hat tip - jmac). He voted against a Congressional Resolution to say congrats to the Florida Gators.

Verily.

They'll never remember the other 414, but they'll always remember Jack's 1.

After reading the EBDS post, I hope every Dawg fan who rooted for Florida in the BCS is feeling like a dumba%$ right now.

I got so tired of hearing, "I just wanted ESPN to shut up," or "I always pull for the SEC."

Florida fans are obnoxious and cocky and would never wish anything good for georgia.

but for some stupid reason, a lot of Georgia fans I know were pulling for Florida in the BCS.

Any Georgia fan who was pulling for Florida is not a TRUE Dawg.

i will never, never understand it.

All the people that call themselves Georgia Bulldogs and simulataneously rooted for the Florida Gators need a special place reserved for them in hell.

A TRUE Dawg NEVER roots for a Gator in any sport, an transaction, or any aspect of life. If I saw a car with a Gator tag crashed and burning, I would seriously consider my decision to interject my assistance or not.

For any self-proclaimed Dawg fan who supports the Florida Gators can go straight to hell. And rot there.

I think the anons have the wrong idea. I preferred Florida win the BCS Championship given it was between Florida and Ohio State. I'm not real happy about Florida's national championship win but I'm a heck of a lot happier than I would've been had Ohio State won. THE BIG 10 IS SLOOOOW. Like Ralph Wiggham from the Simpsons slow. Like Corkey from Life Goes On slow. I can say that now. They're slow and they know it and now they can't really counter the argument because a team that's not even really the fastest in the SEC just ran circles around them.

I still would've voted no on that bill. Just because I preferred the win doesn't mean I'll pat them on the back for it. Besides, the best thing that could happen to Georgia is to have a Florida team next year thinking they're a whole lot better than they really are.

Anon2,

I'm Anon1. Thanks for the backup, buddy. It's important that Anons stick together and stuff.

I couldn't agree more.

I don't care about Big 10 speed or any goofy crap like that. These new-school Georgia fans have lost the essence of what it means to be a Bulldog. Florida has been our biggest and most hated rival for the past 50-70 years. But for some reason, these new-age Georgia fans root for the Gators just becasue some goober on ESPN said that the SEC was overrated.

I have a message for any UGA backer who pulled for Florida: YOU'RE NOT REAL DAWGS. You might root for Georiga, but you're not real DAWGS. You should be ashamed of your damn selves.

I don't give a flying f#*& what ESPN thinks and I don't care about SEC respect. That's not the essence of southern football.

Florida fans should never have anything to feel good about. EVER. I don't care if it's the hammer throw, javelin, uneven bars or the 300 yard butterfly meddley. I want Florida to lose at whatever the hell it is that they're doing at the time.

I have a question for Dante: Do you think that Erk Russell would've been pulling for Florida? Be honest with yourself. I seriously damn doubt it.

More than Georgia Tech or Auburn? The Florida infatuation is only because of the past 17 years. Before they took control of the series, few people cared and anyone who says different is, well, not lying but stretching the truth.

Talk about 'New Dawg Fans' ...

jmac,

this is why your podcast lags so far behind the dawgcast.

1980 was 26 years ago and that was sort of a big deal.kbidd

Ive worked with Jack in DC and when you enter his office there is a total sense of pro-UGA memorablia, heck you even get free red and black peanuts to eat while sitting in the lobby...in addition to Jack you got some hardcore pro-Dawg folks in the guise of Senators Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss. Fact is, it's no contest with regard to elected officials and their school of choice...Gaytor men, Tech men and the like just aren't cut out to run this state. Hoo-ra.
