Richt's New Extension

The AJC and Banner-Herald are reporting that Coach Richt is expected to get an extension today that would make Rick James jealous. The Executive Committee of the Athletic Association will meet today to discuss "a personnel matter" during which they are expected to finalize terms of a new deal. Details of the extension have not been made available, but it is a good bet that it will be north of $2 million (not including any secret payments from Michael Adams), putting Coach Richt back among the highest paid coaches in the conference. Fulmer, Tuberville and Meyer are all paid around the $2 million level. Here's hoping the Athletic Association throws in a DVD player for Willie Martinez.
