Football, Baseball and Basketball...a little of everything

Sicemdawgs.com gave us a couple of FYIs. First, they've got the 2006-2007 season basketball Ticket Priority Brochure online.

They also provided us with a heads up on NCAA 2007 College Football news. IGN has the QB ratings online. Brady Quinn is #1, Chris Leak is #4, Jamarcus Russell is #11, Reggie Ball is #20, Brandon Cox #22, Matt Flynn #23, Zabransky #25. JT3 isn't listed. Obviously, we're going to have problems at QB in this version of the game, but that's to be expected. We're going to have problems in real life too. (BTW -- Reggie Ball isn't a Top 20 QB in the ACC much less all of college football)

Baseball fans can get their photo fix at Footballhuddle.net. They have AP and other photos up from the Regional in Athens. This my favorite...

From the Athens Banner Herald

BTW -- if you are stationed / living abroad and love college football send me a note. I'm working on a story about the lengths Dawg fans scattered across the globe will go through to keep up with the Dawgs. I've already gotten great notes from Dawgs currently or previously living in Uganda, Siberia, Japan, Korea, Qatar, Iraq, and China. If you've got a story shoot me an email at decaturdawg (at] hotmail.com.

No Georgia RB shows up in the top 25 halfbacks, either. It reads like a roll call of the backs who have torched Georgia's defense in years past.

Steve Slaton
Darren McFadden
Kenny Irons
Rafael Little
Alley Broussard

Rafeel Little and Torched don't really go in the same sentence.

Of those 5 guys their combined record vs. UGA is roughly 3-7.

I think Thomas Brown is at least better than Broussard and Little.

I'd be surprised if you could find a single GT fan who'd rather have Reggie Ball over B. Cox.

Nathan,

Reggie Ball's own mother would rather have Brandon Cox as a son.

It's crazy.

The only thing I can figure is the speed of Ball boosts his average ranking up.

If they gave him an 80 speed rating, a 70 accuracy rating, and a 50 rating for awareness that would be about right.

Rafael Little torched Georgia's defense for a 52 yard TD and six catches for over a hundred yards in 2004.

However, he was not much of a factor after his 75 yard TD was called back in 2005.
