Broyles is out at Arkansas?

You're fired

It appears that Frank Broyles is finished at Arkansas. Broyles will likely announce his resignation tomorrow. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has the best coverage right now. Broyles, a GT grad, is 82 years old, and he has been with the Razorbacks for 50 years.

You can also check Google News "Search Broyles" for the latest.

Broyles is losing his job in the wake of One Hawg to Live / As the Piggie Turns. The Soap Opera involving the Razorback program has been surreal. Broyles, Houston Nutt, Mitch Mustain, Mustain's mother, Gus Malzahn, Arkansas Boosters, the Springdale media and the little piggie at the market have all been in a race to see who could be the most petty, spiteful and self-destructive.

Best of luck to Broyles in his retirement. He's one of the giants of the old Southwest Conference. But when you hire a Tech man to run things, this is what inevitably happens. ;-)

Ummm... that link says he won't be fired. I am confused?

"Won't be fired" means "ask for his resignation" With his long tenure at the pigpen, firing wouldn't be the legacy he wants to leave behind. Although the mess left in his wake after this past year won't serve his legacy well.

This entire thing just gets more
bizarre.

Nolan Richardson is doing the
happy dance.
