The decision to start Ellerbe at what is essentially the quarterback position on the defense had more to do with what he was doing than what Miller was not. "Brandon did a great job at [middle linebacker]," Jancek said. "It really had more to do with Dannell's comfort level there. He's taken right to it and had a great camp."That's good news. However, it doesn't make me feel any better about having Miller at SAM linebacker given how few plays he's made there over the past three years. Oh well. Trust the coaches I guess.

Do you honestly expect him to come out and say "Brandon Miller was horrible at Mike once we put the pads on. He had to go as he was killing our defense. In fact, we think Akeem Dent or Rennie Curran will be him out for the other starting spot, either at Sam, or at Will moving Dewberry back to Sam, by the Tennessee game."? In the rare chance that was true, they certainly wouldn't say so in the media.
I don't know what to expect out of Brandon Miller Paul, but I'm not caring what practice reports say, only game action. I hope he's vastly improved over the last three seasons, or if not, that Dent or Curran take his spot.

Geez you are harsh on some Brandon Miller. Have some faith brother.
Though, in fairness, I assume I'm not the only one who would feel more comfortable about the D if Miller played w/ hand down and Marcus Howard played standing up. Especially considering that ajc says Howard runs sub 4.4s. Too obvious?
