Last Wednesday night, I was at the UGA vs. NC Central women's basketball game. At half-time the sponsor of the game (Honey Baked Ham) sent their mascot out to shoot baskets with Hairy Dawg. One catch to that otherwise reasonable plan....The mascot was a giant bumble bee with a pig's face. (get it...HONEY and HAM...rolling eyes now)
You realize this was Tech week right? Sometimes you just can't catch a break. This isn't as bad as the Crocs football sponsorship because I don't think our guys saw this one coming. But geez.
I had to laugh.

It was irritating to sit in the cold and rain Saturday and watch GTU score 26 straight points with that damn banner on the facade of the upper deck constantly yellow. Are we really in need of money that we have to let Kroger, Home Depot and the Governor use yellow ads during the tech game? Do they pay less to use red?
Did somebody Cane that bee?
As you can see, the bee's name is "Hambee". How fcking stupid is that?
Honey baked ham can kiss my red ass.
I was at the game and thought someone was playing a joke or taunting when I first saw it walking down the aisle right before half time.
That is the stupidest looking thing I've ever seen.
Did all nine people at the game boo?
Why don't they get a pig suit with a bee head? Just a suggestion...
The entire scoreboard thing was extremely annoying for several reasons. It's one thing for our defense to not figure out the triple-option when given a bye week to do so; it's completely another for the scoreboard folks at Sanford to have five weeks off and then have everything go haywire at game time.
Just a quick rant there--hadn't heard anyone mention that debacle, and it only added to the doomed feeling that I think we all felt in the stadium that day.
Please stop the blood coming out of my eyes for viewing that...
My favorite part was when the rednecks lost 45-42!
My favorite part was when we won 14of 17. My second favorite part was when our special forces unit put rifle shots through the heads of the north avenue terrorist group.
It's good to see that Reggie Ball found work...
